La Reata

An annual yearbook published by Albuquerque High School, beginning in 1909, to increase public engagement with it and the school's engagement with the public. In 1917 the school began to teach printing, and in 1918 the first student-produced La Reata was printed. As Albuquerque High School was for many years the largest school in the territory and later in the state, the students express enthusiasm and pride in their endeavors to both document and represent the future of their city, territory, state, and region.
